GREENSBURG, Ind. (AP) - A judge has sentenced a southeastern Indiana woman to 60 years in prison for fatally beating her 12-year-old son after he hid her illegally obtained prescription painkillers.

WRTV and WISH-TV report that 30-year-old Tasha Parsons of Greensburg received the sentenced during a Decatur County court hearing Friday for the June 2011 death of Devin Parsons.

Parsons pleaded guilty last month to murder charges in a plea agreement with prosecutors that set her prison sentence at 60 years.

Prosecutors last month played a video during which Parsons admitted to "kicking and stomping" Devin 14 or 15 times and punching him in the head after he hid the pills.

Parsons told police her boyfriend also participated in the beating. He has denied the accusation and is awaiting trial.
