BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Kids got a lesson in history at the Heritage Day and Chalkfest in Burlington on Saturday.
The Historic Burlington Business Association and Boone County Historical Society partnered for the event which included live alpacas and wool spinning demonstrations. Cars from WWII were also on display at the family-friendly event.
"The neat part about these old vehicles is that so many are recognized for their beauty, grace, and their artistic appeal and they help tie together our heritage of the farm, raising animals like alpacas, spinning our own yarn, transportation, the sidewalk art, the art of music, and other art works, all of which are part of our heritage," said Mike Crane, President of Historic Burlington Business Association.
Local artists were on hand to sell their art and create sidewalk chalk masterpieces.
