2 arrested after car stolen from day care

ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) -

Erlanger Police have identified the two people who are accused of stealing a car from a day care on Monday afternoon.

Police say a woman was picking up her children from Erlanger Methodist daycare when a man and woman stole her Jeep Liberty. The mother left the car running to keep it cool while she picked up her children.

Police located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the suspects fled northbound on I-75. The suspects led Erlanger and Elsmere Officers on a chase reaching speeds up to 90 mph. Officers stopped the vehicle just before the Dixie Highway exit on I-75 and arrested the two suspects.

Mark Nantz, 37, of Ages, Ky., was a passenger in the vehicle and is charged with theft over. The driver, Brittany Turner, 28, of Evarts, Ky., is charged with theft over and felony fleeing.

The suspects are being held at the Kenton County Detention Center.
