Half-way to the weekend! - Cincinnati News, FOX19-WXIX TV

Half-way to the weekend!

Here we go again!

Another hot and humid afternoon with a heat advisory to boot! The advisory will be in effect from noon until 8 PM so be sure to stay cool and hydrated!

As far as temperatures go, Meteorologist Katy Morgan is saying they'll only hit the mid 90s but will feel more like triple digits. There is also a slight chance for some spotty thunderstorms that have the potential to be severe. Be sure to check out Katy and Frank this morning for your current weather conditions and a complete seven-day forecast!

Fans are paying their respects this morning to actor Sherman Hemsley who passed away yesterday in his El Paso, TX home. Hemsley is most famous for playing George Jefferson in the popular 70s sitcoms The Jeffersons and All in the Family.

Bengals owner Mike Brown is receiving some serious backlash after he decided to go against the NFL blackout lift. Although home games are now allowed to be shown on local TV stations, Brown is standing his ground with wanting to sell-out Paul Brown Stadium before letting the games air. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have more on both Brown's arguments and fan reactions on the FOX19 Morning News.

Speaking of Paul Brown Stadium, the Macy's Music Festival will be taking over the Bengals' turf this weekend. Crews will begin transforming the field for the two-day event this morning and Cory Stark will be heading downtown to get the inside scoop.

The parents of Trayvon Martin will be making a stop in Cincinnati today on behalf of the Children's Defense Fund.  Martin was the victim of a shooting that gained national attention in February. Brad Underwood will be live at the Duke Energy Center to explain more on the Martins' visit to the Tri-State.

Thoughts and prayers from all over the country are being sent to the victims and their families of the movie massacre in Aurora, Colorado. Several victims still recovering got a heartfelt surprise yesterday - a visit from Batman himself, Christian Bale. Bale and his wife spent two hours going from room to room, showing their sympathy and support.

There you have it - your news making news this Wednesday morning! Now go grab some coffee and remember...you're half way to the weekend! :)
