CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Kroger is inviting customers to help less fortunate kids prepare for the school year by donating to the Push for Pencils School Supply Drive.
Bins will be located in the front of Cincinnati area Kroger stores until Aug. 12. Customers can place new school supplies in the bins then Kroger will donate the supplies to the Crayons to Computers store in Cincinnati to be distributed to local schools.
"Education is a top priority for Kroger and one of our top charitable focuses," said Sukanya Madlinger, President of Kroger's Cincinnati/Dayton Division. "Every year, teachers are reaching into their own wallets to buy erasers, pencils, scissors and notebook paper. And, it is our hope the Push for Pencils drive will drastically minimize that need because, when it comes to helping our neighbors, Kroger customers are always very generous."
Several items are needed including crayons, markers, pencils, glue and hand sanitizer.
