Storms will continue to pop up throughout the evening.
There have been reports of trees and power lines down in the Hyde Park area.
Duke Energy reported over 5,000 power outages at one point, mostly in Clermont and Hamilton County.
The high temperatures combined with a very moist air mass will promote rapid thunderstorm development and upscale growth as a cold front pushes into the region.
The primary threat with any storms that develop will be very gusty winds, although large hail will also be possible.
In addition to the storm threat there is also an EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING and a HEAT ADVISORY in effect for various parts of the tri-state.
Behind the front a cooler air mass awaits for the weekend, but the heat looks to return as we move through the extended.
We will keep you updated on-air, online and on mobile.
