Man Attacked by Elephant expected to Survive

The Man gored by elephant in attack at park near San Francisco is expected to survive   Tainer Patrick Chapple was standing next to the seven-thousand-pound African elephant at Six Flags Marine World when she knocked him down and gored him. Chapple's abdomen was pierced. A handful of visitors witnessed the attack by Misha, a 23-year-old elephant who has been at the park since she was two. Misha remains in the park's elephant compound and it being monitored.   The zoo says wild animals are just that wild and they will not punish or "put down" the elephant.
