The Reds pushed their season high win streak to 8 games with a series opening win Friday night in Colorado.
After another strong starting pitching performance, this time from Bronson Arroyo, the Reds only needed three runs to maintain their cushion in the NL central.
Arroyo scattered six hits over 6 2/3 scoreless innings pitched and watch Aroldis Chapman strike out the side in the 9th for his 20th save.
Ryan Ludwick, Scott Rolen and Ryan Hanigan each banged out two hits and Todd Frazier also drove in a run.
The Reds lead the Pittsburgh Pirates by 2 games in the NL central.
