Thousands attend the Macy's Music Festival

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Tens of thousands of people from all across the country are in Cincinnati this weekend to see the sights and hear the sounds of the Macy's Music Festival.

"It's a Cincinnati tradition and it's also one of the largest R & B festivals in the world which makes it incredible. It's something Cincinnati should be very proud of," said Bill Simmons of Midnight Star.

The music is so good that Clara Manso and Kevin Hill made the trip from Louisville for their first date.

"We both love old school music," said Manso.

Jackie McMillan says she's enjoying the music and her trip to the Queen City.

"The music is awesome," said McMillan. "Music and the festival cause I've never been to Cincinnati."

More than 50,000 visitors gave local vendors a big economic boost.
