Now that 6 of 9 members of the Cincinnati city council have given the greenlight to the police chief COPS will be filming in the city this summer. At a press conference on the steps of City Hall Councilman Sam Malone announced the majority of the council backs the police department's decision to allow COPS to observe the officers. The show's creator and executive producer, John Langley, tells FOX 19 he couldn't be more pleased to be working with Cincinnati. Langley says his crews will ride-a-long with officers about 7 weeks from now. That's how long it will take to finish up taping that's currently going on with Norwood Police, Covington Police, and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. Cincinnati's portion of the program would likely air on FOX in early 2005.
