Double digits? Yes, please!

Good morning!

I don't know whether to praise the weather or to boo it - those crazy storms on Friday and Saturday ended up leading to a beautiful Sunday! Meteorologist Katy Morgan is saying that we can expect today to be very similar. Highs will top off in the upper 80s/low 90s with mostly sunny skies and a slight chance for a pop up shower.

As always, you can check out Katy and Frank for your current weather updates as well as a complete seven-day forecast!

The man allegedly responsible for the mass shooting in Colorado will be formally charged this morning. We know that James Eagan Holmes will be charged with 12 counts of first degree murder and could also be facing 58 counts of attempted murder along with charges for his booby-trapped apartment. Be sure to stick with FOX19 for the verdict of Holmes' trial.

In addition to the love and support pouring into Colorado from across the country, a Sprint Cup team also paid tribute to the shooting victims at the Brickyard 400. Regan Smith's car featured the names of those killed during Holmes' shooting rampage along with a Colorado-themed ribbon on the hood.

Sarah and Cheryl Jones will also be headed to court this morning after prosecutors say they have evidence that could hurt the Jones' case. Sarah is the former Bengal cheerleader and Dixie Heights HS teacher who is accused of having a sexual relationship with one of her former students. Dan Wells will be live at the Kenton County Courthouse with more on the trial at 5 AM.

It's been almost two years since Paige Johnson went missing but investigators are determined to bring her back home where she belongs. Clues and tips lead authorities to Knox County last week but they came up empty handed. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have the latest on this story at 5:30.

Kings Island is officially saying sayonara to the Son of Beast roller coaster which hasn't operated since 2009. The park announced on Friday that they will completely dismantle the ride later this summer to make room for park expansion.

Our Cincinnati Redlegs have hit double-digits in their killer winning streak! Dusty Baker got the "perfect" road trip he wanted after the Reds beat the Rockies 7-2 yesterday for the team's 10th straight win.  It's the Reds longest winning streak since 1998.

Man's best friend now has another place to roam around with their fellow K9s and loving owners. The official unleashing (no pun intended) ceremony was held for the brand new dog park in OTR's Washington Park yesterday afternoon so go grab your furry friends and head out to enjoy some fresh air!

That wraps up your news making headlines this morning! Go grab a cup of Joe and get your work week started on the right foot.
