Reds win streak snapped at 10

Just two wins from tying a franchise record for most consecutive wins, the Reds fell apart early Monday night in the series opener against San Diego.

The Padres tagged Mike Leake for five earned runs in 1 2/3 innings pitched, the shortest outing of Leake's career, and Reds pitching walked a season high 11 batters.

Drew Stubbs, the NL co-player of the week, and Jay Bruce both homered for the Reds who started the night with 10 straight wins.

Pittsburgh lost in Chicago, so the Reds maintain a three-game lead in the NL central.
