AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Assistant U.S. Attorney Antoinette Bacon praised the work of FBI and IRS investigators.  They have been working on county corruption case for more than four years.  It was July 28, 2008 when the FBI raided the home and office of then Cuyahoga County Commissioner, Jimmy Dimora.

"We would not be here today if it wasn't for the hard work of our partners" said Bacon.

FBI Special Agent in Charge, Steven Anthony boasted his staff and the IRS agents on the case worked tirelessly to bring Dimora to justice.

"Mr. Dimora's and many before it and some more to come are the result of tenacious efforts and underlying hard work and we're proud of the team" said Anthony.
