FOX19 is adding another hour of local news to weekday mornings.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 17, the FOX19 News Morning Xtra will be expanded to two hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The expansion will give FOX19 seven hours of local news in the mornings and a total of 48.5 hours of local news during the week, more than any single TV station in Cincinnati.

"We've seen unprecedented growth over the past two years, viewers enjoy our fun and personality driven morning news and it shows in the ratings. The Morning X holds its own against nationally syndicated shows every day," said FOX19 General Manager Bill Lanesey.

Tracey Johnson and Frank Marzullo will co-host the extra hour. Meteorologist Katy Morgan will do the weather three days a week, and Jeff Creighton will do the other two. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will also continue to play a role in the show.

"Our commitment to covering Tri-state news and weather is strong, we listen to our viewers and this is what they want," said FOX19 News Director Matt Miller.  "The team of Tracey, Frank and Katy has been a huge hit, our ratings just keep going up. This will be a great move for our viewers and for FOX19 News."

FOX19 also recently launched a weekend morning show that airs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Dan Wells and Jessica Brown co-anchor that show, and Katy Morgan does the weather.
