LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) - The Lockland School Board held a special meeting on Wednesday night.
During its executive session the board decided to place Superintendent Donna Hubbard on paid administrative leave.
School Board President Terry Gibson released this statement:
"This evening, the Board of Education of the Lockland School District determined to place Superintendent Donna Hubbard on administrative leave with pay while it continues to investigate allegations that the District miscoded some of its students as withdrawn from the District. The Board's action was taken solely to allow it to conduct a thorough and complete investigation of the allegations, and it does not constitute a determination that the allegations are true or that Superintendent Hubbard engaged in any wrongdoing.
The Board has taken action to authorize the Board President and Board Treasurer to work with Hamilton County ESC to identify a suitable replacement to act as Interim superintendent during the period In which Ms. Hubbard will remain on administrative leave. Action may be taken at a future Board meeting to formally approve the appointment of the Interim Superintendent.
Since this is a pending investigation into personnel matters, the Board has no further public comment at this time."
Lockland Schools are scheduled to start Wednesday, Aug. 22.
