CHEVIOT, OH (FOX 19) - Some local baseball fields received a makeover on Thursday, thanks to the Reds Community Fund.
Cheviot Memorial Field was announced as the winner of the 2nd annual Home Field Makeover contest and received a complete renovation.
The Historic Grandstand also received a complete makeover, dating back to the 1930's.
The two fields, located on Cincinnati's west side, received new infields, fencing and backstops.
More than 500 volunteers from Proctor & Gamble, as well as Reds Community Fund staff, helped to beautify and restore the fields.
The winner of the inaugural Home Field Makeover was Pioneer Park in Kenton County, Kentucky back in 2011.
