(FOX19) - Communities are learning about the fate of several levies on the ballot in Butler and Warren County on Tuesday evening.
Voters passed a 0.25 income tax levy in Middletown for the police and fire departments.
Warren County voters also passed a 3.5 mill fire and EMS tax levy for the city of Franklin.
A levy that did not pass by a slim margin was a 2.5 mill tax levy for the Ross Township Police Department. The levy would have cost the owner of a $100,000 home an extra $76 a year, and an existing 1.3 mill levy would be removed.
In addition, a tax levy for the Monroe School District also failed. School officials say more cuts are pending.
Voters can expect another levy on the November ballot.
