Reds lose second straight game

Posted: Updated:

The Brewers took Bronson Arroyo deep three times in a decisive four run sixth inning to hand the Reds a second straight loss.

The Reds did rally in the 8th inning.  Xavier Paul and Dioner Navarro both drove in runs, but Zack Cozart popped out with the tying runs on base.

Arroyo gave up 10 hits and five runs to drop to 7-7 this season.

It's the first time the Reds have lost consecutive games since July 5th.  Pittsburgh beat Arizona to shave the Reds lead in the NL central to 3 1/2 games.
