Wearing matching black and red camouflage hats, the UC football team left Tuesday for training camp at Higher Ground.
The hats are part of a motivational message from the head coach to reinforce the lessons the team learned spending a weekend this off-season training with a Navy SEAL.
"Everything is about motivation," said head coach Butch Jones. "Every time they see a teammate wearing their hat, it snaps them into why they're there."
The Bearcats will spend the next two weeks away from campus to focus solely on football. The Liberty Bowl champions this season are replacing starting QB Zach Collaros and running back Isaiah Pead, the Big East offensive player of the year.
The Bearcats open the season September 6th with Big East opponent Pittsburgh.
