Police identify man's body discovered in Ohio River

MAYSVILLE, KY (FOX19) - Boaters on the Ohio River discovered a man's body in the water on Tuesday evening.

According to authorities, the body of Charles W. Scott, 52, was located in the river in an area west of the William Harsha Bridge. Police were able to identify him by his Kentucky driver's license and a tattoo.

Scott was originally from Ludlow, Kentucky until recently residing in the Maysville area.

Authorities say it appears the cause of death may have been by an accidental drowning.

Detective Ken fuller and the Maysville Police Department are continuing to investigate.
