Happy Thursday!

Following yesterday's temps of 99°, we could definitely use the rain!

Some folks in Warren County were left without power following a series of overnight thunderstorms and Meteorologist Katy Morgan is saying we can expect the storms to continue for today. Thankfully the rain will make for a pretty big cool down with highs hitting the mid to upper 80s.

Former Highlands HS teacher Andrea Conners learned her fate yesterday at the Campbell County courthouse. Conners was sentenced to five years probation and 90 days in jail after being convicted of having sex with a student. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will footage from the trial on the FOX19 Morning News.

The former Blue Ash Airport could be the site of our area's newest state of the art park. Blue Ash city council is expected to vote on whether or not to purchase 130 acres for the development. Dan Wells will be live at 4:30 AM with the details.

Turfway Park has announced the elimination of the Kentucky Cup Day of Champions from this year's racing schedule. This is the second time in three years that the race has been canceled and officials are saying that they're struggling to keep pace with other tracks that offer bigger purses.

Video games are a popular way to spend time with friends or to unwind from the day, but how much is too much? A 15-year-old in Columbus took his gaming as far as collapsing and being treated for dehydration after locking himself in his room for a days-long gaming marathon.

With the beginning of a new school year brings a lot of emotions for parents, especially if your kid is heading to college. Last but definitely not least, I want to give a huge congratulations to our very own Brad Underwood for winning the Celebrity Demolition Derby last night at the Hamilton County Fair! He's covered in battle wounds and is a little sore this morning, but he has a pretty sweet trophy to show for it!
