Mourners Gather

Mourners gather in Santa Monica, California

American flags, flowers and jars of jelly beans. That's what mourners are leaving at a Santa Monica, California, nursing home where former President Reagan's body was held this morning. It's to be moved to his presidential library shortly. The American flag is flying at half-staff at the funeral home, where a hearse was parked near a growing memorial. A handwritten note was left at the site, saying, "Thank you for changing the world." A map of the US was also left, bearing the words, "Thank you, Ronald Reagan."

Eighty-five-year-old Peggy Sheffey says she came to the home to "just feel closer" to Reagan. Choking back tears, she added that the late president "didn't just think of himself. He thought of everybody else."
