Hearse bearing Ronald Reagan's body leaves funeral home for Simi Valley library
A hearse is carrying Ronald Reagan's flag-covered casket to his presidential library, where the public can pay their respects. Nancy Reagan looked on as soldiers and sailors carefully loaded the former president's casket into the hearse.
There will be a private family service at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley before the public viewing that runs through tomorrow. The former first lady was accompanied to the funeral home in Santa Monica by her children, Ron and Patti. She paused on her way in as she passed a cluster of impromptu remembrances.
American flags, flowers and jars of jelly beans have been left along with notes, stuffed animals and candles.
