Green Township juvenile arrested on 4 counts of receiving stolen firearms

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Sheriff's Detectives arrested a Green Township juvenile on 4 counts of receiving stolen property, a fourth degree felony Friday. Each of the firearms were stolen from a Dunlap Road residence in Colerain Township.

Investigators believe that the firearms were stolen from a garage cabinet during a teenage party at the victim's residence on the morning of August 4. The firearms are listed as a Lefever 12 gauge double barrel shotgun, Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun, Benjamin .22 caliber rifle, and a Marlin .22 caliber rifle.

Detectives gathered evidence, conducted several interviews, and pursued leads developed from the use of a debit card stolen from another victim at the party. Detectives then responded to the residence of the juvenile where they located the firearms hidden behind a basement furnace.

Sheriff's Detectives will continue the investigation, and new charges may be forthcoming.
