Robber exposed when bandana falls in home invasion struggle

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two men are on the run on Friday after invading an apartment of people they knew, according to police.

Authorities say at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, two people knocked on the door of an apartment in the Goldengate Apartment Complex.

A woman answered the door to the suspects, one of them a person police say she already knew. He was standing with his hands up in the air as if he was being robbed.

The other suspect had a gun, with his face covered by a red bandana. Once the door was opened, he immediately forced his way inside.

A man was already inside the apartment with the woman during this incident, and he was confronted by the suspect wearing a red bandana screaming, "Where's the money"? A struggle between the two began as the first suspect and the woman stood by.

During this struggle, the bandana came off and the tenants of the apartment realized they knew the second suspect as well.

Both of the men immediately fled the apartment. The first suspect ran on foot, while the second jumped into a black Mazda Protege, driven by an unknown woman.

Police are not sure if anything was actually taken.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Police are currently searching for both known suspects, although neither have been charged as of Friday evening.
