Ohio veterans honored at concert Saturday

HAMILTON, OH - Ohio military heroes were honored at the first annual Honor and Remember Concert on Saturday. The concert was held in honor of the almost 70,000 Ohioans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom since the states beginnings in 1803.

All proceeds from the concert went to the presentation of personalized Honor and Remember flags to Ohio's Gold Star families.  The Ohio heroes being honored at the event included:

Pfc. Tildon Correll, 11 December, 1944-WWII

Sgt. Gary L. McKiddy, 6 May 1970-Cambodia

MSgt Thomas H. Hutchinson, August 20, 2009- U.S. Air Force

The event featured food, and live music at the Veterans Park in Hamilton Ohio.  Those in attendance enjoyed music by Hard Candy, Old Skool, Tim Tegge, Nightflyer, and the headliner, The Sonny Moorman Group.  A number of local veterans organizations were on-site including the Yellow Ribbon Support Center, Rolling Thunder Chapter 9, the Butler County Veterans Services Department, Disables American Veterans, and the Survivor Outreach Services.
