Crosstown Showdown kicks off high school football

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Crosstown showdown begins this week, kicking off the High School football season.  The Crossdown Showdown consists of 21 games over a 10-day period, and is considered by many to be the nations premier high school football showcase. The games will again be featured as part of ESPNHS Kickoff Classic. 

Friday, August 17 at Dixie Heights High School

Campbell County vs. Covington Catholic 6:00 p.m.

Dixie Heights vs. NewCath 8:30 p.m.

Thursday August 23 at Sycamore High School

CHCA vs. Madeira 5:30 p.m.

Bishop Fenwick vs. Wyoming 8:00 p.m.

Friday, August 24 at Nippert Stadium

Anderson vs. Sycamore 6:00 p.m.

Middletown vs. St. Xavier 8:30 p.m.

Friday August 24 at Sheakley Athletics Center

Finneytown vs. Northwest 7:00 p.m.

Friday August 24 at Elder High School

Centerville vs. Elder 7:30 p.m.

Friday August 24 at Simon Kenton High School

Beechwood vs. Simon Kenton 6:00 p.m.

Cooper vs. Holy Cross 8:30 p.m.

Saturday August 25 at Nippert Stadium

Oak Hills vs. Walnut Hills 3:00 p.m.
