HIGHLAND COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - We have new details on the apparent murder of a 5-year-old Highland County girl.

Investigators found Jada Beth Williams' body in a garage on Flat Run Road in Jackson Township Sunday evening.

At a press conference on Monday, officials revealed the girl's 18-year-old uncle, Matthew Pierson, is held on charges related to her death.

Williams was living with Pierson and her grandmother at a family friend's house.

That family friend is also being held, but there are no charges against him at this time.

Pierson was arraigned Tuesday morning.

FOX19 has obtained the court documents which state Pierson confessed to killing her.

Those court documents state Williams had visible head trauma.

In court on Tuesday, it was released that the child was killed with a sickle, a farm tool.

Pierson is being held on $500,000 bond.
