UPDATE: Stabbing suspect arrested in Highland Co.

HIGHLAND COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

The suspect in a Highland County stabbing is in custody.

Early Tuesday morning, officers were called to a home on Sorg Road to investigate a report that a woman had been stabbed in the face, chest and head.

When officers arrived, the woman told them her attacker was Jeffrey Armstrong, 46.

Officers began to look for Armstrong but they weren't able to find him.

Then on Wednesday, a citizen called to report that they saw someone walking along US 62.

Police arrived and identified the man as Armstrong.

He was transported to the Highland County Justice Center where his bond was set at $100,000 on the Felonious Assault charge pending his appearance in Hillsboro Municipal Court on Thursday August 16, 2012 at 800 am.  

The victim is being treated at an unnamed area hospital.  She's in stable condition.
