Romney Campaign preps for Ryan's return to Miami University

OXFORD, OH (FOX19) -

The Romney Campaign spent Tuesday afternoon setting up for running mate Paul Ryan's return to his alma mater Miami University.

Ryan is a 1992 graduate and will speak for the first time in Ohio as Romney's pick for vice president.

"I think it's really great," said Miami Senior Brittany Vandervort. "It's very much like Miami to get super hyped up for something like this, it's really exciting."

Crews spent a majority of the day sprucing up the Engineering Squad off High Street in Oxford. Obama's campaign also started to push in Oxford.  Obama for America-Ohio officially opened its Oxford office on 32 W. Walnut Street.

"This has been planned for awhile," said volunteer Ellen Price. "It's certainly been planned before they made the announcement this weekend."

Congressman Ryan is schedule to speak at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
