Friday will be a National Day of mourning for President Reagan, but only on the Federal level.
All Federal offices will be closed Friday, That means no mail. And don't look for any stock figures, the markets will be closed. Ohio Governor Bob Taft has also recognized friday as a day of mourning, but state offices will be open. Locally it looks like county and city workers will not get the day off either. City code automatically gives workers a day off for Federal holidays, but council is expected to pass on this one.
Mayor Charlie Luken says the city doesn't have enough money to pay overtime for police and firefighters who "have" to work that day.
