READING, OH (FOX19) - Four young people confessed to accidentally starting a fire that could be seen from I-75.
It happened at Voorhees Park in Reading on Wednesday night.
Authorities say a garbage can caught on fire. The fire then spread to the roof of a picnic shelter in the park.
Officers say the four teenage boys turned themselves into police on Friday.
Police tell FOX19 the boys, who are 14 and 15-years-old, were remorseful. The juveniles told police it was an accident, they were playing with paper and a flammable liquid. They were turned over to their parents.
Each of the four teens have been charged with one count of arson and two counts of vandalism.
