Police: Victim robbed, stabbed in Franklin

FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) - A suspect is on the loose after a robbery and stabbing Thursday morning in Franklin.

It happened near the Speedway gas station on the corner of West 2nd Street and Gessner Lane just before 6 a.m.

Police say the 55-year-old victim was walking toward the gas station when he was approached by a suspect who stabbed the victim in the abdominal area, then took off on foot with the victim's book bag.

The suspect is described as a white male with a scruffy beard, wearing a black hat, dark colored shirt and spoke with a deep voice.

The victim was transported to Atrium Hospital.  His condition is unknown at this time.
