A football scrimmage was played Sunday to benefit a 12 year-old boy who is in remission after winning his battle against bladder and prostate cancer.

Jacob Vickers was diagnosed with the very serious form of cancer on Halloween day in 2006.

Although Jacob doesn't have cancer anymore, chemo has left him weaker than the average kid.

Since he isn't physically able to play, he has been the assistant coach for the team.

On Sunday, Jacob took to the field. It is the first time he will had the opportunity to score a touchdown, and he did.

"It felt awesome," said Vickers. "I'd like to thank (everyone). It mean a lot to me."
