CLINTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A police chase on Monday night has left one person dead and another injured.
Authorities say that Joseph Noble, 46, was being pursued by police around 7:30 p.m. on northbound SR 73 in Wilmington. Officers deployed stop sticks, causing Noble to cross the center line and hit a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville. The Pontiac then struck an Isuzu Amigo which was stopped in traffic behind the Pontiac.
The driver of the Pontiac, Sonja Cayaditto, was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital by life squad and is expected to be released. The driver of the Isuzu, James Farhay, was not injured.
Noble was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Corners Office.
The crash still remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Evidence of alcohol consumption was discovered at the scene. Speed is also considered to be a contributing factor.
