The Beach Waterpark files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

MASON, OH (FOX19) -

The Beach Waterpark filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Monday, Aug. 20 in Ohio Southern Bankruptcy Court.

The Beach, which is situated on 35 acres in Mason, is closed for the 2012 season. It is being leased for the 2013 season by Adventure Holdings Group which operates 17 family entertainment centers across the country.

The bankruptcy was filed by the current owners of the waterpark, not Adventure Holdings.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy permits reorganization under the bankruptcy laws of the United States.
