Cincinnati Children's Hospital gets grant from Hope on Wheels

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center was awarded a $75,000 Hyundai Scholar Grant on Wednesday.

The grant was awarded to Dr. Maureen O'Brien for her work to identify new therapies that may help patients with relapsed acute myeloid leukemia.

The check was officially presented at a Handprint Ceremony at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center where Cincinnati-area children affected by cancer placed their colorful handprints on a white Hyundai Tucson, the official vehicle of Hope On Wheels, to commemorate their brave battles with cancer.

In 2012, Hope On Wheels will donate 43 Hyundai Scholar Grants totaling more than $3 million to institutions across the country.
