It's never too early to start thinking about the weekend!

Good morning!

We're on the brink of a very busy weekend here in the Tri-State and it's looking like the gorgeous weather will be sticking around! Meteorologist Katy Morgan is saying that out Thursday forecast consists of nothing but sunshine with very low humidity and highs hitting the upper 80s!

The back-to-school brigade continues today but students in the Lakota school district will experience something new in the classroom. A new technology and engineering-based curriculum will be introduced to students grades first through seventh that is designed to better prepare them for the future. Jessica Brown will have more information on the new STEAM program coming up at 5 a.m.

The North College Hill school district is working on a protection plan for their students before two rallies get underway tomorrow. The rallies were organized in response to the beating of 45-year-old Pat Mahaney last week by six NCH middle school students. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have the details on the school district's plan at 6 a.m.

Following last night's 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies, the Reds are gearing up for a huge weekend at Great American Ball Park! Friday through Sunday our hometown team will be honoring the newest Hall of Famer, Barry Larkin! Brad Underwood will be live at 6 a.m. with what all the park has planned for its weekend visitors at 6 a.m.

If not the man himself, who better to interview about the former Red than his own daughter? Check out Sheila Gray's one-on-one interview with Cymber Larkin coming up at 7:50!

I promise I'm not trying to get ahead of myself with all of this weekend talk, but it's always nice to have something to look forward to, right?! Germania and Cincinnati's Brew Ha-Ha! will also be taking place this weekend and we've got folks from both paying a visit to the station! Michael Fillhardt from Brew Ha-Ha! will be here during our 8 a.m. hour for your comedic line-up and event schedule while the folks from Germania will be grilling up brats, serving up pretzels and sampling beers during our 9 a.m. hour!

As you can see we've got a busy morning ahead of us so be sure to tune-in to the FOX19 Morning News from 4-9 a.m. followed by Tracey Johnson and Frank Marzullo in the Morning Xtra!
