A Florence man is one of two inmates who has escaped from a Kentucky jail.

Ira Boles, 26, of Florence, along with Antonio Howard, 24, of Lexington both walked away from the Adair County Regional Jail Class D Minimum Security Facility on Wednesday night.

Boles is a white male, 6'1" and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, dark shorts and dark shoes. Howard, 24, is a black male, 5'9" and 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, white cap and shorts.

Their direction of travel is unknown, but investigators believe they could be en route to Lexington.

Boles has been arrested several times in Boone County, most recently in January for theft by unlawful taking. Howard was also held in the Boone County Jail in March of this year before he was transferred to the Casey County Jail.
