WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - A local memorial is being held on Sunday to remember the victims of the Sikh shooting in Wisconsin.
The Guru Nanak Society, in association with the Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati, is holding an Interfaith Memorial Service, beginning at 4 p.m.
The program will include reflections from all different types of religious faiths, as well as an introduction to a Sikh prayer service.
Following the service, a reception will be held at 5:30 p.m., where attendants can talk with Sikh community representatives in a more informal setting.
The memorial service is located at 4394 Tylersville Road, in West Chester next to Tyler's Reserve subdivision.
Organizers say for those visiting a Gurdwara for the first time, anyone from any culture or religion is welcome, required head coverings for men and women are provided, guests will be asked to remove their shoes upon entering and dress is casual for both men and women at the service.
