Police accidentally stumble upon pot growing operation

AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police made an unexpected find in a back yard in Avondale Sunday.

They were in the neighborhood on a report of trouble between neighbors on Vine street near Forest Avenue when they happened to look in the backyard of one of the homes in the block at 3592 Vine. That is when they noticed marijuana plants growing in the neighboring yard.

Police requested and obtained a search warrant in order to enter the yard, and found a number of pot plants growing.  The home backs up to a hill which is Cincinnati Zoo property. It seems that there are no back-yard neighbors that could see into the yard, but obviously it was possible to see from the side.

No one has been arrested and the case is still under investigation.
