Here's to the start of another work week!

Good morning!

It's looking like we'll be starting our work week with a few showers and thunderstorms rolling through the area. Meteorologist Katy Morgan is saying that it'll be a muggy start to our Monday morning with the chance for showers and storms later on this afternoon. The highs for today will top out around 85°.

FOX19 is following breaking news from Norwood after a woman was taken into custody for an early morning fire on Sherman Avenue. Brad Underwood is live with the latest on the damages and the suspect's charges starting at 4:30 a.m.

People across the world are remembering Neil Armstrong after the first man to walk on the moon passed away at the age of 82 due to complications following a heart procedure. In Armstrong's honor, the Cincinnati Museum Center is offering free admission to the Museum of Natural History and Science through Labor Day. Dan Wells and Sheila Gray will also have the list of NASA's most famous astronauts coming up at 6:30.

Reds front man Joey Votto will be back on the field, but this time he'll be wearing a different jersey. Votto will be playing with the Dayton Dragons this week as part of his rehabilitation after undergoing two knee surgeries. According to MLB.com, Votto is expected to be back with Cincinnati this weekend.

The University of Cincinnati had a pretty rough week, but it's time for students and faculty to head back to class today. UC's campus will be experiencing some big changes after President Greg Williams unexpectedly stepped down from his position last Wednesday and Jessica Brown will be live with the details at 7 a.m.

Who's excited for the Cincinnati Bell/WEBN fireworks this weekend?! I know we are! Mark and Mo from Cinci's favorite rock station will be live in studio with the inside scoop for Sunday's fireworks display at 8:45!

Last but not least, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to those of you who participated in the Kings Island for the Cure campaign! FOX19 had the privilege of airing live from the park's fountain last weekend where people were purchasing pink snoopies for Susan G. Komen! After it was all said and done, Kings Island was able to write a $180,000 check for breast cancer awareness!
