CLARKSTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Clarkston police arrested a man who allegedly raped a mother and daughter at Southern Place Apartments.
Around 3 a.m. on Monday, police received a 911 call about an incident that occurred at the Southern Place Apartments.
The women said a young man broke in to the bedroom of the mother.
The suspect, Mwamaratunga Pipole, was armed with a knife and raped the mother, according to reports.
The suspect then brought the mother to the bedroom of her 15-year-old daughter. The suspect then raped the daughter as well, according to the mother.
The daughter was able to leave out a second-story window of the apartment and go to a neighbor and call 911.
Around 3 p.m. on Monday, the victims were coming home in a cab when they saw the suspect sitting outside of the Southern Place apartment complex.
The victims called police while they remained inside of the cab to report that they found the suspect.
Around 4 p.m., Pipole was taken into custody. He was charged with rape, statutory rape, robbery, burglary and aggravated sodomy.
Police said they believe Pipole lived at the Southern Place apartments as well.
