CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Gas prices across metro Cincinnati continue to climb after oil companies pulled workers from offshore drilling rigs and cut production at Gulf coast oil refineries.

This all comes as Hurricane Isaac continues to pound the Louisiana coast.

The Shell gas station at 10415 Kenwood Road and Pfeiffer Road has a price this morning of $4.09 for regular unleaded.

Cincinnati's average price for a gallon of regular unleaded this morning is $3.93, up nearly 20 cents a gallon from Monday, according to cincygasprices.com, a web site that monitors how much it costs to fill up your tank.

Monday's price was $3.72.

The lowest price reported by the web site Wednesday is $3.52 at a station in Middletown, while a couple of stations in Springdale and Amelia are sitting right around $3.55 a gallon.

Wednesday's average price was the highest since mid-April when the price hit $3.87 a gallon.
