Bush Won't Set Timetable

Bush won't set timetable for turning over Saddam

President Bush isn't saying just when it will happen -- but he says the US is going to turn Saddam Hussesin over to the new Iraqi interim government. Bush told reporters at the White House that "appropriate security" needs to be in place first. He says there can't be a risk that somehow Saddam would end up avoiding trial.

Earlier today, Iraq's interim prime minister said Saddam and other detainees would be transferred to Iraqi authorities in the next two weeks. And he said Saddam would stand trial "as soon as possible."
