COLUMBIA TUSCULUM, OH (FOX19) - The owners of Green Dog Café cut the ribbon for Buz, a more upscale complement to the Café on Friday morning.
The Green Dog Café received a Grow Cincinnati loan in 2009. After opening, regular customers asked owners Mary and Mark Swortwood to open another restaurant in Columbia Tusculum. With the assistance from the City of Cincinnati, the Swortwoods were able to expand by opening Buz. "With this expansion, we've grown from 20 employees to 33," says Mark Swortwood.
"I'm glad we have another great restaurant in the ever-expanding Columbia Tusculum business district," said Councilmember Laure Quinlivan, whose committee oversees economic development.
Buz is located at 3543 Columbia Parkway and is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
"Buz offers eclectic, casual dining and will feature live music in the fall, so we hope neighborhood residents and those from across the City will come and enjoy our expansion," said Mary Swortwood.
