Freedom clinch playoff berth

The Florence Freedom will play in the Frontier League playoffs for the first time in team history.

After nine seasons without a playoff game, the Freedom won 12 of 13 games and clinched the wild card spot with a win Saturday in Evansville.

Florence will start the playoffs on the road, but will host at least one game next weekend.
