CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A man who drove his car into a crowd at Oktoberfest in 1999, injuring several people, is now back behind bars.
Michael Cowperthwaite, 38, was arrested in July in Clermont County for driving under suspension. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Cowperthwaite had his license suspended for life after was drunk when he drove through police barriers and into an assembled crowd in September of 1999.
He was released from prison early in 2007. He had been sentenced to 13 years.
