A fire ignited in a Saylor Park home on Tuesday night.
When crews arrived to the one-story home in the 7000 block of Gracely Drive around 7 p.m., they found light smoke coming from the roof. The first alarm companies quickly knocked down the fire and brought it under control in about 10 minutes.
There were no working smoke detectors at the time of the fire. Fortunately everyone was able to get out of the home safely.
43 firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire. Damage is estimated at $25,000.
