MADEIRA, OH (FOX19) - Police responded to a shooting at a beverage store in Madeira on Wednesday night.
Dispatchers say the owner of Madeira Beverage was shot during a robbery in the 6000 block of Kenwood Road near Cherokee Road.
Authorities say the suspect came into the store and demanded money from the store owner and his wife. The owner and the suspect argued then the suspect shot him multiple times in the stomach. The suspect then pushed the store owner's wife into a wine rack before fleeing from the store running northbound on Kenwood.
The store owner was taken to University Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. His condition is unknown at this time.
The suspect is described as a black male about 6'3" tall with a slender build. He was wearing a bandana over his face.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office helicopter and K-9 unit searched for the suspect. The suspect is still on the loose.
